This is a perfect size pan. It is not real big, like a turkey, is a medium-size smaller. A 6-8 lb roast chicken beautifully! When the roast is removed, you can put this pan on the stove top and make gravy.

It is a heavy skillet, and so it is worth the cost. I've never used the pliers, I do not think I ever will. Do not you really want to hit a roast with a knife or something sharp that cause the juices run out of the meat when it first comes out of the oven. Cleanup is easy too, even when using the pan on the stove top. Simply fill in the hot pan (not boiling) water to soak for a short while before washing.

I recommend this tower 5 levels on anyone. Extremely robust , versatile and makes any dessert look high class . We used it for our wedding cake with a 10inch on top with a cake topper (eliminating the smallest level and the 2nd level) and the other 3 levels in possession of treats that matched our bridesmaids / wedding colors .
